Course Description

In Italy, every meal is a celebration. Explore Italian culture while you learn to prepare select Italian courses, like antipasti, primo piatto, contorno, insalata, and formaggi italiani. Does it sounds like a foreign language? Don't worry. Your Italian instructor, Chef Bommarito, will cover them all, sharing her authentic family recipes and inspiration from her travels in Italy. Wear a white chef jacket, dark pants and comfortable, closed-toe shoes. Bring a tool kit with the following: a paring and chef's knife, peeler, and measuring spoons. Requirement: in addition to the standard tool kit bring a heavy whisk, serrated knife, dry measuring cups, liquid measuring cup and a high-heat rubber spatula. Prerequisite: CES 2187 Cooking 101: Skill Development or with instructor's approval.
