Course Description

Did you know that many chefs consider the knife to be the most important tool in the kitchen? Improve your speed and safety in the kitchen by learning knife skills. Discover how to choose the proper knife for the item you're cutting and especially how to properly care for your knives. Learn to master basic cuts and how to cut vegetables and herbs. Please bring a chef knife, paring knife and peeler to class. Prerequisite: CES 2187 Cooking 101: Skill Development or instructor's approval.
