Recreational Drone Fundamentals

Course Description

Take to the skies in this hands-on introduction to drone flight! You'll explore basic terminology and drone market trends while learning the essentials of FAA regulations and safety protocols. The course places a heavy emphasis on pre-flight inspections, proper equiment care, and understanding where it is safe to fly. Best of all, you'll gain real-world experience practicing with the college's drones in a guided, supportive enviroment. Requirements: All students must sign a waiver and successfully complete the FAA TRUST Exam (link will be provided approximately 1-week before class start date). Students aged 16+ are welcome to register.
