Question, Persuade, Refer: 3 Steps Anyone Can Learn To Help Prevent Suicide

Course Description

Mental health crises are a significant public health concern, yet many people feel unsure how to help when someone may be struggling. This training introduces the Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) model, teaching participants how to recognize warning signs, ask about suicide, and connect someone with appropriate help. Similar to CPR for physical crisis, QPR provides practical steps to support someone in a mental health crisis. This training is led by Noel Koller-Ditto, DNP, APRN, AGCNS-BC, a Clinical Nurse Specialist recognized for her expertise in suicide prevention using innovative approaches. Designed for adults (18+) from all backgrounds, including family and community members, caregivers, educators, first responders, and professionals in healthcare, social work, public health, and other helping professions.
