Course Description

Learn to better understand your adolescent students who may have experienced some form of trauma in their life. Explore examples of students in the 6th-12th grade classroom, analyze acute, chronic, and complex trauma, identify specific experiences of adolescents that can lead to trauma, and evaluate specific strategies for building a trauma-informed classroom. You will learn the fresh START formula for trauma-informed education so that you have specific strategies in mind to support your students throughout your classroom lessons.
