Trauma Informed PreK-5 - Online Course
Course Description
Learn to better understand your elementary students who may have experienced some form of trauma in their lives. You will explore examples of students in the PreK-5th-grade classroom, analyze acute, chronic, and complex trauma, identify specific experiences of elementary children that can lead to trauma, and evaluate specific strategies for building a trauma-informed classroom. You will learn about the four C's (comfort, consistency, compassion, and connection) of trauma-informed education so that you have specific strategies in mind to support your students throughout your classroom lessons.
