CES-9363Parent & Child Swim: Ages 5+

Course Description

Register in child's name. For the child that may not be ready to move into a class without a parent. Students will work on the same skills as the Youth Learn to Swim levels but with a parent in the water. The teacher will work with students to get them comfortable going to a teacher for some skills. All participants should have some water experience. Parent water participation is required. Bring your own swimsuit, towel and lock. Skills to be learned: .Enter and exit the pool correctly without ladder .Jump from side of the shallow end from sitting or standing .5 relaxed underwater bobs with bubbles .Blow bubbles into the water through nose only .Float on front and back relaxed .Float with head in the water keep head up and have synchronized arm movements out of the water and kick .Without plugging their nose, retrieve a ring from 1-2 ft. .Float and swim head up or down in deep water with assistance .Proper flutter kick on front and back with assistance .Intro to treading arms and leg movements and elementary backstroke with assistance
