Classic Michigan Food & Drinks: Behind the Brand

Course Description

Kellogg's and Post changed how the world ate breakfast, and Gerber first made baby food commercially available. But the Wolverine State is bursting with many other brands, such as Faygo, American Spoon, Jiffy, Sanders and Vernors. From fudge, to pasties, and anything made with cherries, authors Gail Offen and Jon Milan will explore the history and stories behind many of Michigan's beloved brands. Doors open at 11:15am. Full, buffet lunch served including vegetarian and gluten free options, followed by 1-hour lecture. All proceeds support student scholarships.
