Course Description

With the last Amtrak train departing Michigan Central Station in 1988, the historic structure stood abandoned for 30 years before Ford Motor Company purchased the building in 2018. Associate Principal Architect, Angela Wyrembelski, will share the story of the station's extraordinary transformation process and how adaptive reuse of the historic station connects Detroit's past to its promising future. Doors open at 11:15am. Full, buffet lunch served including vegetarian and gluten free options. All proceeds support student scholarships.
