Course Description

Opened on December 26, 1913, Michigan Central Station is one of Detroit's most beloved landmarks. Discover its rich history and incredible transformation with author and Detroit History Tour Director, Bailey Sisoy Moore. From the vision of railroad tycoon William Vanderbilt, to the rise as a sister station to New York City's Grand Central Terminal, hear stories of Michigan Central Station's grandeur, decline, and rebirth. Doors open at 11:15am. Full, buffet lunch served including vegetarian and gluten free options. All proceeds support student scholarships.
