Course Description

With its airy crust, cheesy corners and distinctive red sauce on top, Detroit Style pizza is enjoyed worldwide. How did this Motor City delicacy become an international sensation? Author Karen Dybis will share the pizza's humble origin story. Learn what has led Detroit to rank with New York, Chicago and New Haven as the best pizza towns. A house-made, Detroit-style pizza lunch will be served at this event. Doors open at 11:15am. Full, buffet lunch served including vegetarian and gluten free options. All proceeds support student scholarships.
