Making the Most of Mealtime - Dementia Care Certificate
Course Description
Understand the importance of proper nutrition for persons living with dementia, while learning approaches for handling challenging mealtime situations. Gain person-centered skills that will help you encourage independence and make mealtime a more pleasant experience. Recommendation: take CES 4303 Fundamentals of Dementia Care first. This class is required to complete the certificate. This educational activity is provided by Schoolcraft College, an approved continuing education provider under the Michigan Board of Nursing Administrative Rule R338.10602(g) and is approved for 2 continuing education contact hours for nurses. It is approved for 2 continuing education contact hours for social workers by the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative and 0.2 CEUs for all others.
